Fortezza da Basso – Palazzo dei Congressi

This Congress is part of the Biennial World PM Congress series and Italy has the honour of organising the event for a second time, after the 1982 congress held in Florence.

To celebrate its 50th anniversary F.A.R.E. (Federation of Regional Associations of Economists and Health Providers) organizes  in Florence  the Conference “The Evolution of demand for goods and services health. The role of F.A.R.E. in SSN in the past, present and future”.

We came to the third edition of the National Medical Congress organized by the Italian Society of Contraception (SIC) and the Italian Federation of Scientific Sexology (FISS).

From Certaldo to San Miniato, from Massarosa to Capalbio, from Fucecchio to Campagnatico, these are the places that during September Tuscan autumn offer to their citizens (but also to the tourists and curious) delicious feasts.

For all lovers of mushrooms, Certaldo (Florence) from September 9 to October 10 from Friday to Sunday at Centro Polivalente, hosts the Festival of steak and porcini mushrooms, with an exceptional menu: fried mushrooms and cuts of the traditional Florentine ( Information: Swimming Certaldo, 333 411 494).

Second in importance among the national events of this kind, the floats parade in Impruneta (Florence), it is a parade of four floats, one for each district, accompanied by beautiful choreography. FROM SEPTEMBER IN FLORENCE…

For all the curious people who want to discover the many episodes that involved the local authorities and Florentine citiziens in the past centuries, are invited on September 12th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. to the extraordinary opening of the Archives of Florence, showed with guided tours and the exhibition of documents dating back to the 19th century. Visitors can see the different rooms and stores of Palazzo Bastoni, seat of the city archives which houses a rich documentation that will bring to light old stories and disputes of other times. VERDI THEATRE

Cats, one of the greatest theatrical successes of all times for spectators, plays number and collections, wins the challenge and by popular demand it comes back on stage also in Italy during 2010/2011 season. Cats from the book of T.S. Eliot’s “Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats” is not only a translation but a reinterpretation of the historical musical.

Entirely dedicated to communication, creativity and art, the Creativity Festival is an event hosted annually by the Fortezza da Basso  in Florence. Every year the festival collect thousands of visitors among tourists, students and curious.

The 27th SIMG Congress will take plase as usual in Florence, this event represents the most important moment of meeting for the General Medicine.
