From September 23 to September 27 2009, back again for the fourth year running, TEATRIaperti the festival/stage dedicated to the theater as well as enhancing the Florentine homeland’s cultural-economic roots, organized by Firenze dei Teatri.

This year’s theme is the theater-city relationship and the intention is to experience the city and other towns part of metropolitan area as a space devoted to stage expression.

The companies will leave their formal stages to perform in unusual urban corners or entertainment sites normally closed and in the places part of Florentines’ life to renovate their cultural and social function. This year the festival also gives to young emerging companies the chance to perform the art they prefer: theater, dance and performing arts, in a very rilevant professional context.

The public is the true star of the festival since holders of TEATRICard can not only attend to all shows, but also take all ATAF public buses on Saturday and Sunday free of charge, access to florentine museums, have special discounts in some book and record shops, in selected restaurants and clubs during the festival. From September 21 in Piazza della Repubblica is available an Info Point where is possible to have the complete festival program, to buy the TeatriCard, to have information about the event and next florentine theatrical season.
