Art is a word

“L’Arte è una parola (Art is a word)”: the Gallery ‘Il Ponte’ presents a synthetic review that wants to examine the use of word in art. Work are approached from the mid 60’s to mid 80’s, made by artists who have reflected on the visual and expressive power of language as a new medium of art making. The show wants to give a short excursus of this trend reached up to nowadays that, if at first sight seems to shift the attention from art to language, indeed focuses all its reflection on the state of saying that the art exsist only for herself, or rather, art is a definition of art, “art is a word”.
